Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba asked South Korea to provide his country with American-made Patriot air defense systems.
Kuleba said during a press conference in the Polish capital Warsaw on Wednesday: “As far as I know, South Korea uses Patriot air defense systems. It is a non-lethal weapon because it shoots down missiles without killing anyone.”
He continued, saying, “I would therefore like to take this opportunity to urge the South Korean government to find a way to supply Patriot and other missile defense systems to Ukraine.”

It is worth noting that South Korea, in addition to military equipment, provided Ukraine with humanitarian and financial assistance, but refused to supply lethal weapons and ammunition.
Previously, Ukrainian officials said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are experiencing a shortage of ammunition for air defense systems and are discussing the issue of their supply with Western partners.
On March 25, Foreign Minister Kuleba said that Western countries do not intend to supply additional Patriot systems to Ukraine, but are ready to provide missiles for other types of air defense systems.
