Alec Baldwin attacked the woman who asked him why he killed the cameraman of the film Rust

World news

A VIDEO of actor Alec Baldwin’s confrontation with a pro-Palestinian protester has gone viral on social media.

The video, which shows the Hollywood actor in a coffee shop, was posted on X and has been viewed over 3 million times so far. The video shows Baldwin paying for his order while holding a cell phone to his ear. During this time, the cameraman repeatedly asked the actor to say “Free Palestine” in order to leave him alone.

“Alec, can you please say ‘Free Palestine’ once?” shouted the woman filming the actor in the otherwise quiet cafe. “Why did you kill that woman? You killed that woman and you didn’t get jail time? No jail time, Alec,” she continued, referring to the death of cinematographer Halyne Hutchin on the set of Rust.

“Free Palestine, Alec. Just once and I’ll leave you alone. I’ll leave you alone, I swear. Just say ‘Free Palestine’ once,” the protester shouted.

The mobile phone was knocked out of her hand

Baldwin, who went to the door of the cafe and avoided contact with the woman filming, was then seen advising a member of staff to call the police, claiming the person was harassing him. “You know he’s a criminal,” the woman who was filming said to the employee who had earlier unsuccessfully tried to escort them out of the store.

“Come on, Alec, just say ‘Free Palestine’ once, please… and I’ll leave you alone. Free Palestine. Fuck Israel. Fuck Zionism. Please say it. Once,” the person continued. At the end of the recording, Baldwin asked her, “Can you do me a quick favor?” and then knocked the cell phone out of her hand.

As a reminder, Baldwin is facing charges of involuntary manslaughter of cinematographer Halyne Hutchins in 2021 during the filming of the western Rust. Hutchins died when a real bullet was fired from a replica Colt .45 revolver that Baldwin was practicing with at a church outside Santa Fe, also wounding director Joel Souza. The actor’s trial for manslaughter is scheduled for July 10.

Baldwin denied responsibility for Hutchins’ death.
