On Tuesday, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu had a meeting with Romanians settled in Qatar, to whom he conveyed that he is convinced that in this country they earn much better from a financial point of view than he would earn in Romania, but he also told them that he also wants them to return to the country, reports News.ro.
“You are in a completely different country from the one in which you were born and it is obvious that your efforts were all the greater to adapt to a Countries so different from Romania. You have my respect and I am very glad that you accepted the ambassador’s invitation. I came with a team of ministers, together with the Foreign Minister, to have practical discussions, especially in the economic area, but also in the political area. You know very well that Romania has the longest border with a state in an armed conflict. Now we are again talking about a conflict in the Eastern area and it seems that this news is not ending. I will also try and the whole team of ministers, my colleagues, we will try to get involved as actively as possible and make sure that you are and will continue to be well In Qatar, otherwise a safe country, just like Romania, Romania being a NATO member, Qatar also being in a partnership with Romania’s strategic partner, namely US. I think that after the Revolution it is one of the great achievements of Romania, said Marcel Ciolacu.

The Prime Minister explained to the Romanians in Qatar that there is economic growth in Romania, despite the overlapping crises.
“I am firmly convinced that in Qatar you earn much better financially than you would have earned in Romania, at this moment. I hope with all my heart, and only the numbers show us this growth trend in Romania which was primarily due to a period of political stability, in a period of crisis and security, not only energy or the pandemic, and I hope from the bottom of my heart that together with my colleagues, until the end of the term, we will maintain this growth trend. It is obvious that I would like you to return to Romania, especially after what the ambassador told me, how involved you are and how much you have contributed to the development of projects major from Qatar†, Ciolacu declared.
Ciolacu wants challenging projects to exist in Romania
The prime minister also conveyed to the Romanians that he would like challenging projects to exist in our country.
“I would very much like to find those challenging projects for your level of expectation in Romania as well. At this moment, it has never really been invested, there are investments of almost 100 billion. We are still lagging behind in the area of health, in the area of education. But I also said it in Romania and I say it here too, it is the last train of Romania. If Romania loses this train and these European funds, this time, as well as the overlapping crises, through the PNRR and the reforms in the PNRR that will automatically lead to Romania’s accession to the OECD and the current European financial exercise, Romania nia has no more time and cannot recover this time, Ciolacu declared.
