“This year, we not only have parliamentary, European and presidential elections, but we are also celebrating 20 years of RTL’s existence on the media scene in Croatia. We have always tried to push the boundaries and bring something new. This time, on election night, we succeeded for the first time in studio to bring representatives of the most relevant political parties who met the results of exit polls in front of our cameras – it was not easy for them because they were on the lists themselves. We introduced RTL Detektor – a fact checking format in which our reporters analyzed what was said with leading experts of all profiles in the debates and who stuck to the facts, and who they were not close to. RTL is the only Croatian television station to which the prime minister gave major interviews before the start of the never-before-strained campaign Plenković and the president Milanović. Our news team has once again shown that nothing is impossible, we never play it safe and we are not afraid to change and set trends. Viewers can expect that from us in the future as well,” concluded the editor-in-chief of RTL’s news program about the successful election program. Željka Marijanović.
