Pupovac announced, Most and DP are negotiating. SDP: If they agree, we have over 80 hands

SDP’s Mišel Jakšić was a guest on N1 and commented on post-election coalitions and talks that have taken place so far, as well as potential new partnerships.

Speaking about the meeting of the Homeland Movement and the SDP that just took place, Jakšić pointed out that nothing has been agreed upon, but neither is it finished: “I know that there are talks on several fronts and that things are going in a constructive tone. No split was agreed upon after the first talk, the door is still open. Whether we agree ideologically or not, at this moment there is a chance for the constitution of a parliament that will be based on dealing with corruption and for the people’s power to return to where it belongs, which is the parliament, not the chancellor’s office.”

He noted, in the context of the Homeland Movement, that they are aware of ideological differences, but “politics is the art of the possible”. As a condition for negotiations, he emphasized the abolition of the lex AP, the dismissal of the Attorney General and the amendment of the electoral law.

“The SDP has an increase in the number of mandates and the number of absolute votes. HDZ has a decline in the number of mandates, and what a winner it is, we see how easy it is for them to form a government. There is no more talk about salaries, about pensions, energy, agriculture, only spite is important,” he said.

“The cooperation of the SDP with the left-centered liberal parties has certainly been discussed, there is no dispute about that. Most took time out to talk with DP. If Most and DP agree, it is over 80 hands.”
