The chairman of the Desnyansky district administration in Kyiv, Dmitry Ratnikov, justified the closed shelter during the rocket attack of the Russian invaders on the night of June 1, which killed people. He noted that the central entrance of the hospital was opened.

“At night, in our area, a few minutes after the air raid signal was announced, ballistic shelling occurred. According to the director of polyclinic No. 3, the central entrance was opened by a night shift worker. Some residents were in shelter, some were not. 3 people died at the shelter. All are being investigated details of the tragedy,” the official said on Facebook.

According to him, work is underway with the leadership of the clinic and specialists from the Department of Municipal Security of the Kyiv City State Administration, and all responsible persons were called with a report.

“Tough decisions will be made on all responsible persons after all the circumstances have been clarified,” Ratnikov summed up.

On the night of June 1, the Russians hit Kyiv with rockets, using 10 rockets. As a result of the attack in the Desnyansky district of the city, an 11-year-old girl and her 34-year-old mother, as well as a 33-year-old woman, were killed. Another 12 people were injured.

At the same time, the husband of one of the dead women said that his family, after the announcement of the alarm, came to the shelter, but it turned out to be closed. While the man was looking for a guard, his wife died.

Interior Minister Igor Klymenko also said that the Kyiv police had already begun criminal proceedings on the fact of official negligence, which entailed grave consequences.
