WHO IS Comrade NUR?

It has a powerful voice that vibrates and is very difficult to imitate. His mother took him to TRT Istanbul Radio. When her talent was noticed, she received training in the TRT Children’s department. She participated in the Golden Microphone competition in 1972. Edip Akbayram came first in the competition. He participated in the works of Ekrem Zeki Ün. After the training she received from him, she released her first single in 1974 under the name Nur Belda from Polydor: Love is a Fantasy & Bile Bile. In 1976, with the guidance of Süheyl Denizci, she met and married musician Ergüder Yoldaş, and from this first marriage, her son Devrim Yoldaş was born in 1977.

He left for 1 week after he started working at Maksim Casino in 1981. After this, he took permission from Attilâ İlhan and composed his poem “Sultan-ı Yegâh”, which broke new ground in Turkish pop in 1981 with this single. He composed ten songs composed in different modes and synthesizing polyphonic Western music and Turkish music, published by Öncü Plak in December 1981. Works such as Sultan-ı Yegâh, Mihrimah, Saki, Nagehan Bustan Faslı, Nedir Yarabbi Derdim and Sa’d-Abad were the main hits from this album. Starting from April 10, 1982, the artist went on a tour to promote this masterpiece album.

After the similar album titled “Elde Var Hüzün”, released in 1983 by Workshop Plakçılık, founded by Nur-Ergüder Yoldaş couple, did not bring the expected commercial success, she divorced Ergüder Yoldaş and took a break from music for many years, and after this break, she released Return (Sakine) in 1992. Even though he released his album, it was not possible to experience the bright days again. The legendary album “Sultan-ı Yegâh”, which left its mark on an era and became the brand of the Yoldaş couple, was re-released in CD format by Beyoğlu Metropol in 1998. Yoldaş later married businessman Halil İbrahim Tuş. Her husband, Halil İbrahim, committed suicide during the 2001 economic crisis. The artist currently continues his career as the soloist of Ankara City Orchestra. She released two new singles in May and September 2014.
