U.S. NEWS

A man was severely injured and is in critical condition after a crash on Interstate 93 in New Hampshire on Friday, according to police.

Dispatchers received multiple reports about the serious crash on the southbound side of I-93 in the area of mile marker 45.8 in Canterbury early Friday. Good Samaritans who stopped at the scene found the man significantly injured and trapped inside the vehicle, New Hampshire State Police said in a Facebook post.

State Police troopers got to the scene, found the heavily damaged vehicle in the median and began trying to free the driver from inside. Once firefighters arrived, they requested a medical helicopter because of how severe the man’s injuries were. After the driver was freed from the vehicle, he was flown to the hospital in critical condition, according to the post.
