Despite the rapid increase in rental costs in the city, it is still significantly lower than in other European capitals. This is evidenced by data from the HousingAnywhere service.
“According to HousingAnywhere, in Europe you can see that rental prices are no longer rising so quickly, but they have not yet begun to fall,” note analysts of the famous marketplace.

According to the study, Kyiv ranks lower in the list of European capitals in terms of housing rental costs. According to analysts, the Ukrainian market has high flexibility and dynamics, which differs from other European countries, where price changes of up to 20% over six months are considered the norm.
The market quickly reacts to changes in politics, the situation at the front and in the economy, and quickly restores stability. Turin and Valencia have seen the biggest increases in rental prices over the past year (37.5% and 33.3% respectively), although they remain more affordable than other major cities in western Europe. On the other hand, Stuttgart and Berlin recorded a decrease in rental prices for studio apartments or studios (26.2% and 7.7% respectively). Bologna is the fifth most expensive city to rent studios, with prices rising by at least 25%.

Let us recall that earlier Focus wrote that on the secondary real estate market in Kyiv, prices for apartments have risen noticeably. Over the past six months, the average cost per square meter has increased by more than 6,000 hryvnia, reaching UAH 59,127 against the previous UAH 53,030.
The Ministry of Justice also reported that in Ukraine there is always a high demand for rental housing. Thus, both young people who plan to start an independent life and professionals who move to another city for work want to move to a rented apartment or house.
