“Putin wants to subjugate the people of Ukraine and absorb their nation into a new Russian empire. America and the entire democratic world should not accept either outcome – not only because we protect our friends, but also because our safety is at stake,” notes the current occupant of the White House.

The fact that Ukraine is often not separated from Israel is a tactic, plus informational reasons, political scientist Vladimir Fesenko is convinced.

“On Biden’s part, this is definitely a tactic, because they know much more about Israel in the United States than about Ukraine, and the Israeli lobby in the States is not one but two orders of magnitude more influential than the Ukrainian one. That is why last year the White House combined assistance to Ukraine and Israel , and Taiwan in one package. It was believed that this would, so to speak, increase the chances of acceptance. Noting that now almost the entire world is discussing in one way or another the consequences of Iran’s attack on Israel, Fesenko adds that this just accelerated the consideration of assistance from the United States to both Israel and Ukraine, “otherwise it remains to be seen when the Republicans and Congressmen in general would have become infuriated in order to finally consider this issue.”

But in Europe, notes Vladimir Fesenko, they clearly distinguish between the issue of Ukraine and Israel.

“It so happened that since October last year, these two issues have been the most turbulent for the international situation, so they often appear situationally side by side on the agenda. Meanwhile, in Europe there is much more criticism of Israel, although for some reason we have this do not pay due attention. There are no such fundamental disagreements regarding Ukraine,” states Vladimir Fesenko.

The situation in Israel is a metastasis of Western fears regarding Ukraine

Political scientist Oleg Lesnoy is convinced that the combination of issues between Ukraine and Israel is useful for Kyiv in a broad and global sense.

Israel is increasingly drifting politically towards Ukraine

“Ukraine and Israel have common points of contact. Both countries are, firstly, pillars of democracy in different regions, and secondly, strategic partners of the United States.
