Mexico – Summer, sun, paradise: Before her appearance at the “Night of German Schlager” Rosanna Rocci (55) wanted to fill up on vitamin D under the Mexican sun – with fatal consequences.

As the pop singer explained to “Bild”, she got the “worst sunburn of her life” on the first day. “I lay on the beach in the blazing sun for six hours – without putting on any cream. That was a big mistake,” said 55-year-old Rosanna Rocci.
However, the singer would generally avoid sunscreen because she doesn’t want any chemical cocktails on her skin. That’s why she only uses natural oils with sun protection factor: “Unfortunately, I forgot my mixture at home.”
The extent of her injuries probably only became clear in the hotel. When she looked in the mirror, the singer was downright shocked: “I was red all over my face and body. (…) My skin was inflamed and burning. I suddenly felt terribly cold.”

She is said to have relieved her pain with quark and cucumber. She refused cortisone ointment. The 55-year-old was unable to leave her room for three days. She was too weak and couldn’t even stand with her burning feet. “When I put my hand to my face, it felt like a razor blade,” said Rosanna Rocci.
The singer still performed her performance professionally. On the way home the burns began to appear. The artist admits: “That made me terribly uncomfortable.”
At least the fiasco seems to have been a lesson to her: “I could slap myself for going out in the sun unprotected! “It won’t happen to me again,” promises the 55-year-old.
Rosanna Rocci achieved her breakthrough in the 1990s. The Italian singer also sings in German. She’s there every now and then TV shows to see.
