Ukraine’s ambassador to Germany: “We will not give the Russians a piece of land”

World news

Ukraine’s ambassador to Germany, Oleksiy Makeev, excludes any territorial concessions from his country to Russia. “Russia must leave all occupied territories,” Makeev said in an interview with RTL. “We will not give the Russians a single piece of land,” he stressed.

“Russia must leave all occupied territories. Then we will also negotiate how Russia will pay the reparations,” Makeev said.

When asked about the Russian-occupied Crimea, Makeyev stated that “Crimea is part of Ukraine”, as are Lugansk and Donetsk and the newly occupied territories. “We must liberate our people from this occupation.”
