Many people drink fruit juice rather than a glass of water in the morning. Despite the popular belief that this is beneficial, it can cause significant harm to your body.

The Indian Express writes about this. According to Ruby Hall Clinic physician Lata Patil, drinking fruit juice on an empty stomach can have harmful effects on your health and lead to like thisconsequences:

Erosion of teeth. The acidity of fruit juice can damage tooth enamel, increasing the risk of tooth decay..

Unstable blood sugar levels. The concentrated sugar in juice can cause your blood sugar levels to spike and then drop. This will make you tired and hungry faster.

Nutrient imbalance. Juice lacks the fiber found in whole fruits, which helps regulate digestion and prevent spikes in blood sugar.

The belief that fruit juice is the ideal morning drink probably stems from its association with vitamins and antioxidants. However, Dr. Patil suggests a better approach: “The best time to drink fruit juice may be during or after a meal.”

She also named somebenefitsdrinking juice at the right time:

Improved digestion. Drinking fruit juice with meals allows you to absorb its vitamins and minerals along with other beneficial nutrients.

Controlling blood sugar levels. The food may slow the absorption of sugar from juice, potentially helping control blood sugar levels, which is especially important for diabetics.

Lata Patil also suggested alternatives to drinking juice on an empty stomach:

Whole fruits. Enjoy whole fruits for fiber, vitamins and long-lasting energy.

Smoothie. Blend whole fruits with yogurt or milk for a thicker, filling drink.

Water with lemon. Squeezing a slice of lemon into a glass of water helps you feel refreshed.

By being mindful of the best times to drink fruit juice and other drinks, you can maximize the benefits and minimize the potential harm.

Drinks that kill youth

Aging is an inevitable stage in everyone’s life, but certain drinks can speed up the process. They reduce skin elasticity and contribute to the appearance of wrinkles and pigmentation.

Among these “pests” are sweet carbonated drinks. They may not contain sugar, but they may still contain “chemicals that are harmful to the body.”

One of the worst enemies for your skin is also processed bottled coffee. It contains a lot of sugar and additives that dehydrate the skin, which can ultimately lead to the rapid appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and dark spots.
