Help from the United States - what equipment will be transferred to Ukraine - UNIAN War in Ukraine news

States can send armored vehicles and missiles.

The administration of US President Joe Biden is preparing to send Ukraine a larger-than-usual package of military aid. It will include artillery, air defense and armored vehicles.

Politico writes about this with reference to American officials. The Pentagon wants aid to be sent as soon as the president signs the bill into law. The Senate could pass it as early as this Tuesday.

Thus, the new package may exceed the latest American aid in the amount of $300 million that Ukraine previously received. According to various sources, it will include armored vehicles, Bradley fighting vehicles, old Humvees and M113 armored personnel carriers, as well as missiles.

“The administration is preparing a large package to help meet Ukraine’s battlefield needs,” one official said.

House of Representatives approves military aid to Ukraine

On April 20, the House of Representatives of the United States Congress supported the provision of military assistance to the allies. A total of 311 of its representatives voted in favor.

Even before the vote, the US Department of Defense said that they were preparing to quickly send an arms package to Ukraine if it was supported by the Senate and the President.
