War in Ukraine - Musienko named the goals facing the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the near future - UNIAN War in Ukraine news

According to Musienko, Russians should expect new surprises on the left bank of the Kherson region, and, under certain conditions, generally prepare for defense.

The head of the center for military legal research, Alexander Musienko, believes that the offensive of Russian troops will intensify in the near future.

“Russia will intensify and revive its strikes. For our Defense Forces, there may be a possibility of switching to local counter-offensive actions in order to liberate certain territories and recapture positions that are more advantageous for us,” he told UNIAN.

According to him, in the near future the Ukrainian Armed Forces have several goals: to stop the Russian offensive, exhaust enemy units and be prepared for local counterattacks in order to improve their own tactical position. At the same time, the scale of the invaders’ offensive depends on the speed and volume of military assistance from the allies that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive.

“The trends in this regard are indeed quite optimistic. If everything continues like this, then the chances of stopping the Russian offensive are quite good,” Musienko noted.

In his opinion, the Russians should expect new surprises on the left bank of the Kherson region, and, under certain conditions, generally prepare for defense.

“As for our plans, this could be the left bank of the Kherson region. Considering that the British assistance that was provided to us is aimed at operating precisely in the south. And Storm shadow, and boats, and boats… If we quickly If we receive ATACMS, F-16, and will also steadily receive support packages, then the chances of moving into local counterattacks, and possibly large offensives, remain,” the expert added.
