$2 billion decrease in the Central Bank’s total reserves

Türkiye Total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic (CBRT) decreased by 2 billion 162 million dollars in the week of April 19 compared to the previous week, falling to 126 billion 284 million dollars.

DECLINE IN DOLLAR RESERVES, INCREASE IN GOLD

CBRT announced weekly money and bank statistics. Accordingly, as of April 19, the Central Bank’s gross foreign exchange reserves decreased by 2 billion 989 million dollars to 67 billion 11 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at the level of 70 billion dollars on April 9.

During this period, gold reserves increased by 827 million dollars, from 58 billion 446 million dollars to 59 billion 273 million dollars.

Thus, the total reserves of the Central Bank decreased by 2 billion 162 million dollars in the week of April 19 compared to the previous week, falling from 128 billion 446 million dollars to 126 billion 284 million dollars.
