It should be noted that the minimum number of children set by the Ministry has not changed this year:

– “Law” and “Pedagogical Sciences” – at least 75 points;

– “Health care and social security (medicine)” – at least 70 points;

– “Agriculture and bioresources”, “Veterinary” – at least 60 points;

– at least 65 points for admission to national higher educational institutions,

– at least 50 points for admission to other higher educational institutions.

The maximum score for each subject is 5 points.

In addition, since 2019, within the framework of academic freedom, higher education institutions have the right to set their own limit of students of the UNT for admission to study both on a paid basis and on a grant basis.

For the convenience of applicants, the National Testing Center annually presents the cut-off students of all higher educational institutions of the country in a common list. This information can also be found on the websites of educational institutions.

“For example, let’s say that a graduate wants to become a teacher of mathematics. He wants to apply for a grant competition or a paid department of the National University with the 80 points he got at UNT. As you know, the minimum score for “Pedagogical Sciences” is at least 75 points, and for national higher educational institutions – at least 65 points. The score obtained by the graduate is sufficient for admission. However, the threshold score for the specialty he wants to study at this university starts from 90. Therefore, the graduate should look for another university with a threshold score lower than 80. Therefore, before submitting documents for study, applicants should know the limit of students of higher educational institutions”, – noted the director of NTO, Ruslan Emelbaev.

The list of higher educational institutions where the state education order for the 2023-2024 academic year will be placed will be published soon.
