“It’s not good at all.” King Charles’s health would have worsened. Buckingham Palace updates funeral plan

World news

The state of health of King Charles, who is fighting cancer, would have worsened, being a reason for concern among his relatives, writes Sky News, which takes up an account of tabloid The Daily Beast.

This prompted a series of major changes, including adjustments to plans for his upcoming funeral. Tom Sykes of the Daily Beast reported that the king’s friends are worried, stating that it is not good not at all†. One of those close to the king emphasized the king’s determination to defeat the disease, although the situation is more serious than it is believed.

“He is determined to beat the disease and is doing everything possible to make that happen. They all keep their optimism, but in fact, he is not well at all. His condition is much worse than it is known, said the source quoted by the Daily Beast tabloid.

Royal expert Tina Brown highlighted the fact that this situation affected both Prince William and Kate Middleton, who were preparing to focus on raising their children in a more privately, after the Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer. Sykes revealed that for William and his wife the thought that they will soon ascend the throne causes them anxiety.

Charles’ apparently failing health has encouraged Buckingham Palace officials to regularly update a document of several hundred pages outlining the monarch’s royal funeral plans.

Military officials confirmed that “Operation Menai Bridge”, named after the suspension bridge that connects the island of Anglesey to mainland Wales, had been updated repeatedly, but stressed that “planning for the worst” is “What the army does”, considering the magnitude of such an event.

In February, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles underwent surgery for a benign prostate problem and was later diagnosed with cancer. Charles, aged 75, is undergoing regular treatment and has been advised to postpone public duties while he concentrates on his recovery.
