Polish volleyball players won with Germany 3:2 (26:24, 23:25, 22:25, 25:18, 24:22) in a friendly match played in Sosnowiec. The day before, in Katowice, the guests also won in five sets.

The players of Jastrzębski Węgiel and Grypa Azoty Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle do not participate in the first weeks of the grouping of the team, who ended the club games only on May 20 with the final of the Champions League in Turin.
