The Pope prays for peace

In a fragment of a conversation about the Middle East, when asked if he could help in negotiations, he replied: “I can pray. I do it. I pray a lot.”

He said about children from Ukraine: “These children don’t know how to laugh. I tell them something, but they forgot how to smile. And it’s very sad when a child forgets to smile.”

The Pontiff referred to the role of the Church: “I would say that there is always, always a place. If a parish priest doesn’t seem hospitable, I understand, but go look elsewhere, there is always room.

Don’t run away from the Church. The church is very large. It’s more than a temple. You shouldn’t run away from it
