At the beginning of the year, there aren’t that many interesting series worth watching. Still, it doesn’t hurt to go back to see some great titles to pass the time while we wait for the new offerings on the leading streaming platforms. Here are our suggestions:
Daredevil
Some of you may remember that there were several series airing with Marvel comic book characters. Out of all the ones made, Daredevil was definitely the best rewatchable. Even though it’s only three seasons, each one has a lot of interesting stories and great acting. The images built are dark and we can understand the motivations of each of them as well as feel their pain. Must watch.
Breaking Bad
The story of the chemistry teacher who makes and sells drugs to pay for his cancer treatment very quickly develops into a serious crime drama with very serious and unexpected consequences. A story where we see that not everything is flowers and roses and we definitely see the development of the characters. Some turn from cute images into real monsters. And vice versa.
Desperate Housewives/ Desperate wives
Although the name of the series rather refers to Sex and the City, the similarities are relatively few (apart from the four main characters). Each season has a different crime story to solve. Starting from the suicide of one of the main characters in the first season, to the accident that killed a mother with a small child in the fifth season. The characters develop and along the main storyline we learn more about themselves, discover their fates and rejoice in their successes.
Friends/ Friends
A classic remains a classic for a reason. When you’re feeling dumb or crooked, you can always go back to the show’s golden days and enjoy its signature humor. Spend a few hours in the company of Ross, Rachel, Joey, Phoebe, Monica and Chandler. They will make you laugh, cry and make you feel young again.
