Today, April 17, three more F-16 fighters of the Royal Netherlands Air Force will arrive at the air base in Romania.

According to the Romanian Ministry of Defense, Minister of National Defense Angel Tylvar will meet with his colleague Kaisa Ollongren at the 86th air base “Aviation Lieutenant Gheorghe Mociornice”, which is located in the Borcea commune, Calarasi County.

“The event is being held in connection with the arrival of three more F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft from the Royal Netherlands Air Force, which will be made available to the European F-16 Training Center as part of the training programs for pilots to operate this type of fighter,” the statement said.

It is noted that this center should help increase interoperability between allies. The Romanian Ministry of Defense provides its base, the Netherlands provides aircraft, and Lockheed Martin provides instructors and technical support.

Earlier, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that the Ukrainian military, who are undergoing training in Denmark and the United States, is in the final stages of training.
