Former President of the United States of America Donald Trump publicly praised Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson after the passage of the Ukraine aid bill.
According to The Guardian, he recalled that Republicans have only a one-vote advantage in the House of Representatives, so Johnson cannot “do whatever he wants.” Trump praised the speaker for turning $9 billion in aid to Ukraine into a “loan forgiveness.”
“I think he’s a very good person. You know, he supported me very strongly on NATO when I said NATO should pay… I think he’s trying very hard. And again, we should have big elections.” he said in an interview with radio host John Fredericks.

Let us recall that the politician earlier said that he could encourage Russia to carry out attacks on member countries of the North Atlantic Alliance that would prove financially insolvent.
The White House and NATO immediately condemned Trump’s words. United States President Joe Biden called them disgraceful and dangerous, and Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said they put American and European soldiers at increased risk.
