A well-known wrestler lost another lucrative collaboration with a well-known brand, which he advertised. As in the case of the Renault car company, the reason for this is the presidential election.

When the popular MMA fighter Attila Végh supported the presidential candidate Peter Pellegrini in one of his videos shortly before the elections, he had no idea that his advertising business would get in the way.

The athlete, who is also an influential influencer and is followed by more than 400,000 people on Instagram alone, also uses his face to promote various brands.

One of them was, for example, Renault Slovakia. Shortly after the presidential elections, the brand decided to end the cooperation with Végh.

“Dobagetil”

Wrestler Attila Végh will now lose another sponsor! The baguette manufacturer Pierre Baguette, whose most famous products were “with the face” of Attila Végh, will not extend the cooperation with him. “The heaviest baguette among all baguettes on the Slovak market,” was the advertising slogan.

As Startitup reports, the company Pierre Baguette takes care of cultured speech in public. Végh spoke of “beating up his critics” and that “everyone can lick his balls”. Apparently, these words also contributed to the fact that another successful brand does not want to have anything to do with him.

“Our company is, was and always will be strictly apolitical. At the same time, we fully respect all personal rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the Slovak Republic, including freedom of speech, regardless of whether we identify with it as a company or not. But what we consider no less important is maintaining civility in speaking in public. All the more so if it is a well-known personality connected in any way to our brand. The cooperation agreement with Mr. Végh ends in June and we do not plan to extend it. For now, we want to focus on promoting our products without the use of celebrities,” said Pierre Baguette for Startitup.
