In yesterday’s show Otvoreno, the guests were representatives of the parties Branko Bačić (HDZ), Arsen Bauk (SDP), Damir Bakić (Možemo) and Josip Jurčević (Homeland Movement). They discussed the results of the parliamentary elections and the negotiations on cooperation and post-election coalitions to form a new government.
Branko Bačić he expressed the party’s satisfaction with the results of the elections.
– We are going to talks with our, I hope, future coalition partners, to form a future kind, stable ruling majority, which will then enable the formation of a stable and strong government – he said. Bačić.
Arsen Bauk asserted that the large turnout showed that Zoran Milanovic’s decision to compete on Wednesday was a good move. He said that the SDP coalition got about 150,000 more votes than four years ago, as well as one more mandate. Bauk also said that their main rivals won 19 more mandates, but that this was not enough to make a majority with the coalition partners with whom they were in the majority until now.
Damir Bakić from Možemo said that their first goal was to remove HDZ from power.
– We are still working on that. The other two goals were achieved, we increased the parliamentary club, and we also won mandates outside the Zagreb constituencies – said Baki.
Josip Jurčević (DP) said that the large turnout showed that the citizens want changes, and he also said that the DP showed that it is fully ready to take over power.
– Surely the future is ahead of the Homeland Movement – said Jurčević.
Jurčević to the claim that the HDZ is their most natural collaborator, he says that they have differences in their views on the Istanbul Convention, and he called the government a “high traitor”, accusing it of “serving globalist and Greater Serbian interests”. However, he said that the attitude that they are against the HDZ is wrong because not everyone in that party is responsible for what is happening. When asked if he would form a coalition with SDP, he said that the program comes first and that it is unquestionable whether HDZ or SDP will be the ones to accept the “saving solutions” that they offer.
Bačić called the statement about the treacherous policy a terrible insult, saying that every strategic goal of the Croatian people from the nineties to today was signed by HDZ’s hand. He also said that during the day they held talks with their coalition partners from the past eight years, as well as with representatives of national minorities and representatives of the DP.
– And we will continue these conversations further – added Bačić.
– In terms of worldview and program, we are there, when it comes to all the political parties that passed in yesterday’s elections, we are the closest to the Homeland Movement. It is clear that we will look for the first coalition partner there – said Bačić. He added that they also contacted representatives of liberal parties.
