More expensive than last year is expected the Easter table. Prices for lamb and goat seem to be “hot” this year.
Easter 2024: How much does the lamb and goat cost?
The breeder Christos Moschos spoke to MEGA about the prices that lamb and goat will fluctuate this Easter and noted: “Right now traders are doing what they do every year with lamb, which is waiting until the last minute to pressure the farmer to get the lamb at the lowest price. Today the lamb leaves the breeder at 7-8 euros per kilo. We have said it many times that production is not subsidized. Bulgaria applied to the EU to get subsidy compensation, because of the war in Ukraine for its agricultural products, the subsidy Bulgaria got is more than the linked subsidy we get here.”
As reported by Mega, although the lamb leaves the breeder at 7 and 8 euros in the hands of consumers it reaches from 10 to 14 euros.
Easter 2024: What products are included in the “Easter Basket”
From them April 24 until May 4 comes into force “Easter basket”.
The “Easter Basket” includes the following products:
