Members of the All-Polish Youth burned the rainbow flag, but there were no incidents with the participants of the march, informs “Gazeta Wyborcza”.

Record-breaking Equality March in Krakow. “Solidarity is our strength”

At the end of the Krakow Equality March, when all the people arrived back in front of the building of the National Museum, the organizers proudly announced that “there are 12,000 of us”. – The march is a day of joy, community and fun, but every year we also remind you that Poland is the most homophobic country in the European Union, where queer people do not feel safe. In all this evil, however, we have ourselves, we organize ourselves from the bottom up. Because solidarity always and everywhere is our strength – said people from the Queerowy Maj association, which organizes the march.

Let us remind you that the Equality March in Krakow has been organized since 2004 and is one of the first such events in Poland. About 10,000 people participate in it every year. The patrons of the event are the European Commission and the Mayor of Krakow, Jacek Majchrowski.

Not only Krakow. Equality Marches in Olsztyn, Milicz, Koszalin

“We’re Going for Equality” – this is the keynote of Saturday’s Second Equality March in Milicz. Its organizers thanked all its participants for “being present and celebrating together diversity and respect.” “Love is love”, “I think, I feel, I accept”, “Without you there is no family” – these are just a few banners carried by the demonstrators.
