Kumamoto proposes creating a team of social witnesses

Pedro Kumamoto, candidate of the “Let’s Keep Making History in Jalisco” coalition, met with the neighborhood community of New Mexico, where he highlighted the urgency of eradicating corruption in the Government to channel resources towards projects that promote well-being.

During the meeting, Kumamoto highlighted recent cases where money intended for public welfare was diverted for personal benefit. He mentioned the conversion of municipal land into a private development in front of Los Arcos, as well as the alleged disappearance of 300 million pesos from the public treasury, resources that could have been used to acquire patrol cars, build schools, improve hospitals or illuminate neighborhoods.

When asked how he would approach this situation differently, Kumamoto proposed training a new team of social witnesses to supervise municipal tenders, opening 30% of the Comptroller’s positions to public competitions, presenting semi-annual transparency reports and creating a digital platform for municipal procedures. top level in the country.

The candidate concluded his speech by highlighting that “corruption deprives us of our rights, the possibility of living in peace.”
