SCANDAL of Matovič’s MP! On Fight Night…

Bratislava’s TIPOS arena enjoyed several matches during Fight Night Challenge 6 on Sunday. However, the interesting performances were overshadowed by one moment that has nothing to do with sports.

One of the matches that attracted the spectators was the fight between Pavel Hari Vašek and Ján Murčin. The referee ended the match prematurely when Pavol Hari Vaško repeatedly elbowed his opponent, breaking the rules.

He launched into a prone wrestler

When Vaško fell to the ground in the corner of the ring, things started to happen. Ján Murčin’s team immediately “flew” into the ring. Among its members was Viliam Tankó, who is a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic.

He kicked the lying Pavel Heri Vašek and had to be pulled away by a member of the implementation team, who even grabbed him by the neck.

“FNC itself has admitted that this incident is unprecedented and there will be consequences,” informed the Šport24.sk portal.

The MP repents

A video of the incident got on the Internet, and shortly after its publication, the deputy of Matovič’s Slovakia club poured ashes on his head.

“I am deeply sorry for the weekend’s event and want to sincerely apologize to everyone affected in any way. The action caused a reaction, but my action was secondary. Emotions prevailed over reason,” written by Viliam Tankó.

The Slovak boxer and politician continued: “Yes, I’m an athlete, I’m a member of the NR SR, but I’m also just a person who acts emotionally. A fallible person who at the same time can admit a mistake. I continue to condemn such behavior and unjustified violence has no place in my life.”
