Croatian national team won bronze at the WC and silver at the League of Nations in the last nine months. The results could not be better, and all this created a fantastic atmosphere around the ‘fiery’ and created an even greater community. We are untouchable in the qualifications, we are one step away from the Euros, which will be played in Germany next year, and there our national team members will have support as if they were at home.

Unfortunately, a few individuals decided to spoil it all with provocation and harm the Croatian national team. During the match against Latvia in Rujevica, two people raised the Ustasha flag on several occasions, which is why UEFA initiated disciplinary proceedings against HNS.

The Municipal Court in Rijeka sentenced the first defendant DC to a fine of 1,300 euros, and the second defendant DS to a prison sentence of 20 days. The criminal investigation of the third person is still ongoing.

The flag was not seen in the broadcast, nor was anyone able to find it in the stadium, but the FARE official who reported the case reported it to UEFA, although its president Zoran Stevanović claims that they did not. HNS previously announced that they will also file a lawsuit against them for compensation, the penalty they receive from UEFA and compensation for the probably sold-out Opus Arena. Income from tickets alone could be more than 300,000 euros.
