39 Palestinian prisoners, women and children, enjoyed freedom after their release from occupation prisons, as part of the first batch of the exchange deal concluded between Israel and the Hamas movement, which included the release of 13 Israeli hostages from the Gaza Strip earlier.

Buses arrived at the municipality of Beitunia in preparation for receiving the prisoners, after crews from the Red Cross arrived at the prison in order to complete the transfer of the prisoners.

The occupation forces suppressed the families of Palestinian prisoners while they were waiting for their release in front of the “Ofer” prison, west of Ramallah, as part of the first batch of the exchange deal between Israel and the “Hamas” movement.

The occupation forces also stormed the homes of a number of families of female prisoners who will be released in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank, and summoned a number of their family members for investigation.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said, “As part of the continuing threats against the families of male and female prisoners, the occupation has summoned since Friday morning members of the families of female prisoners in Jerusalem to the investigation rooms in Al-Maskobiyya, and their phones have been confiscated, and they are still being detained.”

He added, “The occupation forces stormed the home of the prisoner Amani Al-Hussein in Jerusalem, and the home of the family of the prisoner Zeina Abdo, and informed Zeina’s family not to conduct any press interviews and threatened the family of the prisoner Fatima Shaheen in Bethlehem.”
