The Ostafyevo airfield belongs to the Russian Ministry of Defense and is operated jointly with the Gazprom Avia enterprise. The occupiers used the destroyed Ka-32 helicopter to support the operations of the Russian army, Ukrainian intelligence said.

On the night of April 25-26, a Ka-32 multi-purpose helicopter was destroyed at the Ostafyevo airfield, which belongs to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU on Telegram.

“On the night of April 26, 2024, a multi-purpose enemy Ka-32 helicopter was destroyed at the Ostafyevo airfield of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in Moscow,” the message says.

Ukrainian intelligence noted that the airfield belongs to the Russian defense department and is operated together with the Gazprom Avia enterprise, which is part of the Gazprom structure.

The Ka-32 helicopter was used by the Russians in the interests of the Moscow aviation center, namely to support the operations of the Russian armies.

The Ka-32 is a Soviet and Russian medium transport helicopter and is considered a civilian development of the Ka-23PS search and rescue aircraft.
