Over the past day, the Russian invaders tried to regain positions in the north of the Zaporozhye region. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the morning report on July 21.
As noted, the Russians are still concentrating their main efforts on the Kupyansky, Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions – 32 military clashes took place over the past day.
In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers steadfastly hold the line, successfully repulsed the attacks of the Russians southwest of Masyutovka, Kharkov region.
In the Bakhmut direction, under heavy enemy artillery fire, the fighters of the Defense Forces successfully repelled the attacks of the invaders on the southwestern outskirts of Kleshcheevka.
In the Avdiivka direction, under heavy enemy air and artillery fire, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled Russian attacks in the Nevelskoye area.
In the Maryinsky direction, the Defense Forces continue to restrain the advance of Russian troops in the Novomikhailovka and Maryinka districts of the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporozhye direction, the Russians made unsuccessful attempts to restore their lost position in the area north of Priyutnoye, Zaporozhye region.
The defense forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, consolidate on the achieved lines, inflict fire damage with artillery on identified enemy targets, and carry out counter-battery measures.
Over the past 24 hours, the aviation of the defense forces inflicted eight strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel.
Rocket troops and artillery hit 10 artillery weapons in firing positions, two air defense systems, two electronic warfare stations and four more important enemy targets.
