The collection was collected by Chelyabinsk businessman Nikolai Avdeev for several decades, and friends offered him to open the museum. The Ruptly film crew showed what the exposition at the Motoepoch Museum looks like. Nikolai became interested in motorcycles in his youth, when he was engaged in repair and assembly, some models of motorcycles remained with him from that time. The very first red exhibit – Crossway Cezet – appeared back in 1987, a man bought it in Troitsk at a sale of decommissioned equipment. He says that it happened by accident, such models were not sold to private hands at all. “He still rides wonderfully, he has survived, he lives with me,” says Nikolai. In total, the collection contains more than fifty motorcycles and mopeds. “Motorcycles of Japan, because Japan did things very interestingly, the countries of the socialist camp – the GDR, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, there are many motorcycles from the socialist countries, there is also an Indian motorcycle,” the owner of the collection notes. “Initially, the idea was to pay tribute to the era USSR, that is, to collect the entire Soviet motorcycle industry. We have collected the main models. The pre-war segment remains. It is the rarest and most expensive, we will gradually assemble it, but it is difficult, “says the collector. The man is not only looking for motorcycles, but he himself is engaged in the restoration of rare and unusual patterns. Some of them were presented to him by friends, they also gave the idea to create a museum and show the collection to the public.
