The German Chancellor spoke about the war of Ukrainians against the Russians after returning from China.
A full-scale war continues in Ukraine, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz claims that there is practically no head of government in the world who believes that there is any point in the confrontation for the Russian Federation.
A German official at an event in the city of Chemnitz said that “this also applies to those who are very close to Russia,” DW writes. “There is practically not a single head of government in the world who would believe that this war has any meaning for Russia…” said Scholz.
It is worth noting that the chancellor made such a statement after returning from China, which the United States accused of inciting war in the Ukrainian state. In China, the chancellor met with the country’s leader Xi Jinping.

At the end of March, China’s Special Representative for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui said that the Russian Federation and Ukraine hope that the war can end through negotiations, despite different views on how to resolve the conflict.
Previously, the Chinese side proposed its “peace plan,” which includes a clause on the cessation of hostilities and the resumption of peace negotiations, but does not mention the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine, which they managed to capture.
The Ukrainian authorities have already initiated a global peace summit. The event may take place in Switzerland on June 15-16. A Chinese representative may attend the summit.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov, said that the Russian occupation forces do not intend to interrupt hostilities on Ukrainian territory even if the negotiation process regarding the war begins.
