when the general will become ambassador to Great Britain - UNIAN War in Ukraine news

Podolyak says there are some logistics that need to be worked out.

Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny could begin work as ambassador to the UK in just a few weeks.

Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak spoke about this on the Kiev24 TV channel. According to him, the issue of agrement (preliminary consent of the government to accept a certain person as the head of the diplomatic mission of another country) and protocol procedures have already been agreed upon.

“I think this has been an issue for weeks. Some logistical components still need to be resolved. I don’t see any “politicization” around the name of Mr. Zaluzhny at all,” said the adviser to the head of the OP.

Podolyak believes that society should be “calmer” about the issue of resignations, although it is important to talk about it. “It seems to me that we need to be more relaxed about any rotation of management personnel. Because war is a significant crisis phenomenon, to put it mildly, and not everyone can withstand the load. Or vice versa – somewhere we need to strengthen the management components,” he says.

What is known about Zaluzhny’s new position:

Let us recall that on February 8, President Vladimir Zelensky dismissed the general from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The head of state stated that he invited him to remain on his team.

Later it became known that Zaluzhny should take the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Zelensky noted that the former commander-in-chief himself chose the diplomatic direction for himself.
