Today the Orthodox Church venerates the memory of Saint Leontius. He lived in the 9th century, was a monk in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and fought against paganism. Once he was expelled from the city, because of which he settled outside it, built a church there and secretly baptized people. During his life, Leonty performed many miracles.
