The Council of Arab Economic Unity agrees to hold its next session in Damascus

The Council of Arab Economic Unity unanimously agreed to hold its next 58th session in Syria, in response to the request of the President of the Arab Union for Productive Families and Craft and Traditional Industries, Muhammad Abdel Basset Al-Qadah.

The Arab Federation of Productive Families and Craft Industries published a statement on its Facebook account, stating that “the Council of Arab Economic Unity decided to unanimously agree to hold its next session, 58, in Syria.”

And the statement continued, “The approval came in response to the request of the President of the Arab Federation of Productive Families and Crafts and Traditional Industries, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Basset Al-Qadah, to host the next session at the federation’s main headquarters in Damascus.”

“Al-Qadah expressed his thanks to the Council and the federations for this decision, explaining that the federation will make every possible effort in coordination with the Unity Council to hold a successful session full of activities and events,” according to the statement.

In a previous statement by the federation, he pointed out that the Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity, Muhammadi Ahmed al-Nani, stressed the importance of Syria’s presence in the Council of the Arab League and its organizations and specialized agencies.

“During the working session on discussing the agenda of the 57th session of the Unity Council, Al-Nani expressed the hope that the return of Syria and the resumption of its participation in the meetings will contribute to strengthening joint Arab action, and benefiting from its long and long experience in this field,” according to the statement.

Al-Nani pointed out that “Syria’s presence in the Council of Arab Economic Unity and in its specialized federations has not been interrupted.”

Al-Nani praised the efforts of the President of the Arab Union of Productive Families and Craft and Traditional Industries in representing Syria at the Arab level.

It is noteworthy that after the end of the current session, the presidency of the next session of the Arab federations will be transferred to the next president of the session, Mohamed Abdel Basset Al-Qadah, President of the Arab Federation of Productive Families and Craft and Traditional Industries.
