The favorite of the Ukrainian public got into a huge scandal because he starred in the same clip with Russian artists who supported the annexation of Crimea.

It is worth noting that Oleg Vinnyk became the only Ukrainian artist who took part in this promotion. He even recorded a separate video in support of #VsemMir.

Vinnik’s press service tried to explain that the artist’s participation in the Russian project does not contradict his patriotic position.

“Every year on September 21, the international community celebrates the International Day of Peace. The UN General Assembly declared this day the day of strengthening the ideals of peace among countries and peoples – both at the national and international levels. The decision to support the international project, which was launched on the International Day of Peace, does not go against the artist’s patriotic position in life,” said the statement of the press service of Oleg Vinnyk.

It is worth noting that Russian cultural figures who supported the annexation of Crimea and Vladimir Putin’s policy towards Ukraine took part in the #VsemMyr campaign: singer Valeriya, producer Ihor Kruty, journalist Volodymyr Pozner.
