Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny awarded an officer of the Logistics Service of the Finnish Army with a distinction for his work in support of Ukraine. About this, without naming the recipient, reports the publication Hufvudstadsbladet.

The publication writes that for security reasons, the identity of the recipient should not be made public, but he agreed to answer a few questions.

The officer told reporters that Zaluzhny’s award is a huge honor for him, and he did not expect to receive it because of the level at which he works. At the same time, he understands that this honor extends “to all those who worked to support Ukraine in the field of defense logistics.”

According to him, it was quite easy to establish cooperation between the military of Finland and Ukraine.

“Ukrainians are incredibly resourceful and have an extremely good ability to find solutions to problems. Ukrainians are grateful for the support we provide, and they are equally grateful to all the countries that support them, regardless of the amount or cost,” the military said.

He also told reporters that he felt proud that Finland was able to contribute to Ukraine’s struggle.
